With 69km and 2000m of vertical gain standing between riders and a finisher's medal at Val de Vie Estate, this year's Grand Finale was arguably the toughest in the Absa Cape Epic's 15-year history. Rohrbach / Geismayr brought home there 5th place in the General Classification. After going flat out for the Queen Stage victory we had some troubles the following stages. We are proud of winning the prologue and wearing the yellow jersey on stage one and for our victory on the Queen Stage on a Cape Epic with the most top teams ever competing.
