Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, Brazil, received the first stage of the Chaoyang Challenge MTB Marathon event split between the Amador, Sport and Pro categories was success of registered and public.

Chaoyang tire is very honored to sponsor this event. 

About 700 athletes from 5 states were honored in the race.

An already expressive number that should still increase to the next stage, scheduled for April 14, in the locality of Pedra Branca in Palhoça - SC.

The day was beautiful, the sun was "cracking" and the temperatures went from 40 degrees. A real challenge!

For the PRO category the route was 65km with 1240m of altimetry.

In the SPORT category the course had 45km with 900m of altimetry.

And for the AMADOR crowd, it turned 30km with 375m of altimetry.

With the city of Balneário Camboriú in the background, the bikes faced the highest peaks of the coastal region. The whole structure of the place and organization was first class and anyone who came from the trail can still cool off in the natural pool of the Cascata do Encanto, venue that hosted the event. An event for the whole family!

The great champion was Samuel Niels, overall male with time of 2 hours and 37 minutes. 

Eliz Mazzola won in the female Pro category with time of 3 hours and 32 minutes.
