After a long period without holding events, due to the pandemic, the Chaoyang Challenge returned in Camboriú-SC. More than 600 athletes took turns to complete the challenging courses.

In addition to the challenge of the race and the natural difficulties of the terrain, the athletes and the organization have the necessary precautions to carry out the race within the safety of the covid-19. Quick inclusive tests, banning the public and wearing masks in the event areas.

The race took place on a morning with open weather, but with the rain that hit the region in the early hours of Saturday, it made the route even more challenging.

Within this different scenario Rodrigo Nascimento was the fastest and won the race in the Elite, completing the 53km in 1h and 42minutes.

In the female, Beatriz Neres was placed first with a time of 02h and 4 minutes, in the same distance of 53km.

Chaoyang Challenge is a mountan bike event for practitioners from beginners to professionals, a sign of this is the history of the race's winners. Rodrigo Nascimento is a road cyclist and multi-Brazilian champion in this modality, whereas in the female Bia Neres is a triathlete professional and mountain biker.
